What is a tax refund?
During the year most of us work jobs where the government takes out
taxes from our regular paychecks. At the end of the year we get a tax
refund for the amount that we over paid. (If we are lucky enough to have
overpaid!) On your tax return there is a line item for donations. Money
that you donated during the year comes directly out of you base income
which makes your income lower and means you pay less taxes. As a
result of paying less taxes you will get more money back in your tax
return. The more donations you make the more money you will receive at
the end of the year.
NOTE: Keep in mind that it is always advisable to ask your tax consultant for
advice. In most cases a tax deductible receipt is required now to file for
donations. The area where you file these deductions is usually right after you list
your income therefore it comes directly out of your income and does not interfere
with any other standard or itemised tax deductions. As a result it will usually lower
the amount of taxes you need to pay. This will normally give you back more
money in your refund. Again please check with your Tax advisor. Keep in mind
when you talk to your tax advisor that the donations you are making are
donations and not remittance. In other words you are donating the money to Pier
Insite you are not sending remittance money.

Phil Am Refund

Many Filipino's send money home to help family and friends in times of need or
to help children go to school and get clothes. They are generally providing the
essential needs for basic living. If the children or family members were here in
the US and had an SS number they would qualify for you to file a tax deduction
on your support for them. This in return would give you more money back in
your tax refund. However since they are located in the Philippines you can not
file any tax deduction. The Tax laws strictly state that you can not donate
directly to your family members and claim it as a tax deduction. In fact recent
tax laws require you to have a receipt from a qualified 501 c 3 corporation in
order to claim any donations!
You can however give to a 501 c 3 non-profit charity or organization that
in turn gives money to families in the Philippines, and have a tax
deduction for that!
Our corporation is devoted to the goal of helping Filipino families and making
a better way of life for them. Now you can take advantage of this unique
opportunity to send money by donating to our fund that will go to help qualified
sponsored families in the Philippines. Don't waist any time start a sponsorship
program with us today and get a larger tax refund!
Heres How. Start Now!
